Join PayAnywhere this week at the annual Rub-a-Dub ORT American event, Wednesday, Aug. 13.

The event is one of the largest fundraising events in the Michigan area. It originally began as a homegrown gathering at the estate of founders Doreen Hermelin and her late husband David, but since its creation in 1983, it’s evolved into an important fundraiser aimed at promoting and appreciating Jewish values through a network of schools and training programs across 55 countries.

In 2013, the event had more than 450 attendees and generated close to $400,000 for ORT.

This year, the event consists of a raffle with a $5,000 Somerset Collection shopping spree as the grand prize, in addition to an extensive silent auction with a variety of valuable items donated by local, high-end retail stores and restaurants. A live auction offers trips, jewelry, automobile leases, and one-of-a-kind experiences that money cannot buy.

Tickets are $150 per person. The event, held at the Franklin Hills Country Club, starts at 5:30 p.m.
